"Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten"
They gave them a new pen and a blank page...They made the 4th graders turn around and sing their school song one last time, to the parents...I cried buckets. ( Even though the song is a happy little number called the Bulldog Boogie) Proverbs 19:21 says, "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." I am so thankful for the teachers and Mr. Winn for their incredible influence on our family. I pray for Rook as he turns this blank page in his life, that he would know that the Lord is always with him and that he would look and listen the the Lord for guidance.
