Wake Up My Little Suzy

Molly had her first girl's lockin  last Friday night at the church.  They played a game in the dark with flash lights mimicking the underground church in China.  The 6th grade girls were the police trying to break up the people going to meet together.  It was a great object lesson. there were 123 girls and 147 all together with the adults.  I had a squeaky cot and got shushed a lot through the night.. I'm still tired.
There were scooters, skates, and pogo sticks

Molly got a new scooter the wheels light up

Everyone wore pj's and there was a slipper contest

we made individual pizzas

cookies!

the older girls made friendship bracelets

GAmes, and there were 3 college girls that give their testimony and talked about their foreign mission trips

Everyone got their nails painted and their hair done, See Morgan, I interpreted for her all night

1st graders made blankets for the Linus project

The 5th and 6th grade sewed felt baby blankets for the hospital

Molly and her BFF Caitlyn eating their creations

Here is everyone getting ready to lay and watch Soul Surfer on the gym ceiling...at 3:00a.m.

I L-o-v-e love you

These are very random pictures of things I loved last week...

1.  Rook's teachers

Rook's teacher allowed her class to use the glass doors to help calculate their measurements...cool

 2.  While putting out the garbage, I was reminded of Colorado's garbage experience.
Thankful that my garage doesn't have a beware of bears sign like in Colorado...

Kris is doing a new series on the Beatitudes...Nero the horse made an appearance on the stage to help illustrate meekness being strength under control, he has also used a casket, and a pizza guy...guess what for ?

Nero held it in for 3 services...but not the 4th...we'll never forget Nero

Jack Riley my nephew and his dad Eric always place in the father son cake decorating contest...see why?

Rook and Dayton made their debut Lacrosse game!

Molly received her Bible...all the 1st graders in our church get one...here we are waiting

Sorry it is fuzzy but this is a pic of Kris accidently beating me in the mouth with Molly"s brand new Bible !  There was blood, I have witnesses...He says he was trying to hug Molly and I got in the way..hmmm

There wasn't a plastic baby as usual in our cake!...

Happy Birthday Jack Riley!

Dancin' Dancin' Dancin'

The Winter Company Recital

It was held at an older theatre in Garland' The Plaza"

We had to go to a scary hair place to buy this curly pony tail

MollyBird turned jailbird for her dance to Elvis' Jailhouse Rock

Her jailbird face

The cheering section..Rook wanted no evidence of his presence

Katie came to cheer,  Molly shared her flowers and they had a sleep over!
Molly did a super great job being a jailbird.  (Maybe I should be worried..).Dad was proud to hear Elvis was in the building...and Molly had a great family cheering section.  I am thankful for Molly's sweet friends that she has made in dance this year.  Mrs. Nikki helped them shine!

Out Came the Sun and Dried up all the Rain...

The Water Bottles that were passed out in the church lobby...

The artist and prayer warriors at work...

The labels explaining that prayer and donation needs...

Remember the skate-a-thon?  This is a continuation of that hope...The third grade girls in our church, are still praying and hoping to raise enough change, to purchase a well in Kenya, Africa.   Our children's ministry recently passed out water bottles explaining their hope.  They also made posters to hang up around the church and had a yummy bake sale.  They are inching closer to their goal and it's a sweet thing to see them praying and thinking about children so far away.
