Raindrops on Roses...

Popcorn Papa is one of my favorite places.  You can buy any flavor of popcorn, candy popcorn, cheesy popcorn, candy by the pound...need I say more?  This week I bought caramel and butter mixed with candy corn, that means it's fall, y'all! These are a few of my favorite things...

Candy by the pound

All the vintage goodies, too...

Taffy by the pound

Rook had to make a 4 generation family tree this week, we kept it simple.  He noticed that all the men we had picture of at some point were wearing bowties so he wanted to make it a bow tie instead of a tree.

This is Mrs. Becky who keeps all the 6 months and younger babies in our church.
She has bought Molly the most beautiful Sunday clothes, Easter, Christmas, dresses even purses, every year.
She is so sweet, she grew up a preacher's daughter, and likes to bless Molly.

I made Olivia this bib, I can't remember if I already put it on here, but it makes me smile, her too

One of  the men in our church blessed Kris with some new duds...
Lord, thank you for people like Mrs. Becky , Mr. Cleveland, and Mrs. Molly, who all bless our family with special clothes, above and beyond what I could ask or imagine.  Thank you that they are coheirs with Christ, the salt of the earth, light of the world, Your child, and Christ's friend.  May they know that in Christ they've been given every spiritual blessing; that they are apart of the body of Christ, the church, and that through Christ they can approach You with freedom and confidence.

Mrs. Nikki's fancy shoes!

Another dance instructor's fancy shoes...yet another reason I could have never been a dance instructor...I can't walk in heels...

Molly's Tiny Company in matching outfits!

Molly liked the punch...she was licking the clear cup...looked like the giraffes at the zoo...

This year's recital theme...thus the red decor!

This is Aza, she goes to Smith with Molly but is in 3rd grade, she is Molly's Dance Big Sister

The 5th year trophy girls...Molly was itty bitty when she started
Molly was invited this year to be apart of her dance studio's "Tiny Company."  Last Saturday, they held an announcement party for all the girls, there is Tiny, Mini, and Teen companies.  They get to go to dance convention and have to perform 3 dances as a team for both recitals in the summer.  Molly was so excited, there were finger foods, and that made me excited!  Mrs. Nikki does a great job of making the girl feel special and apart of a team.

Here is a prayer today for the children in my friends and family...

Lord, may they know you as a God of peace, bless them with your favor, equip them with all that is good to do your Will, work in them what is pleasing in your sight. ( Hebrews 13:20)  Please establish the work of their hands, allowing whatever they are doing at any age to be successful, and well for them.  Thank you, that they are your workmanship, created in you to do good works, that you have prepared them to do. ( Psalm 90:17, Ephesians 2:10).  Bless them, to be a blessing, extending the influence of their life so that they will lay up treasure in Heaven.  Be with them in all they do and keep them from harm. ( Matthew 6:19-20)  In Jesus' name, amen.

They Call The Thing Rodeo

They had buses to shuttle us from the parking lot to the Rodeo

The student ministry brought our inflatables and raised money for youth camp

These guys were kinda serious gangsta cowboys...Sam wanted a picture

It rained!  The rodeo was cut short but we were thankful for the rain!

Yee Haw!  Hey Howdy Hey!  It was rodeo weekend in Wylie.  Our church sponsors a gate.  There is Mutton Bustin' which Rook accidentally placed 4th in when he was 6 (long story) and all the good stuff, dust mud, etc.  Molly was not a fan of the cattle roping...there was one lonely Woo Hoo! that she yelled when a calf got away!  We left soon after.  My favorite part is the grand entry where locals ride too.  There is usually a 50 year old sweet lady who rides around wearing a sparkly body suit during the National Anthem.  I think I have body suit envy, her flag usually shoots out Roman Candles during the Rocket's red glare part...I feel jipped because she wasn't here this year, a young maiden with a sparkly shirt, not body suit, replaced her, and the patriotic speech was prerecorded, no coughing!  At least there was cotton candy and Rusty!
