My Fair Lady...

Friday was our free day.  Rae purchased tickets for us to tour the palace before we left, thanks Rae!  We were able to see Cate's dress, and a model of their cake, her shoes, earrings, and bouquet.  There was a commentary by the designer of the dress explaining the detail and craftsmanship.  It made me remember that Christ calls his followers his bride, one day we will wear white robes of righteousness in His presence that will outshine this amazing dress, pretty humbling, inspiring.

Union flags, when on a ship they are referred to as Union Jacks, the flag is Ireland, Scotland, and English flags layered on top of one another, the flags line the road to the palace

Fancy a treat?  Candy counter at the gift shop in the palace

picture of a picture while waiting to enter, this is the grand staircase, Victoria had portraits made of all of her favorite family members to hang on all the walls

Picture of a picture...Victoria and her son Edward really liked glided design, there is a secret passage way in this room that leads to the queen's private quarters so she doesn't have to walk all through the castle to meet guests

The back of the palace, you can buy a sandwich and pay a pound to sit and eat it

While exiting, through the 40 acre garden, there are stations...a private little picnic peninsula built by Albert for Victoria in the little lake there, there is also a private honey station available only to the palace, a rose garden that is never been scene in public, one of the guides along the path told me that the queen's Corgi dogs can be quite unpleasant having bit guides many times...tee hee, call Cesar Milan...
