You're Something Special,,,

You're Something Special
By Bill Gaither

When Jesus Gave You To Us,
We Loved You From the Start,

You were just a ray of Sunshine,
From Heaven to Our Hearts

Not Just another Baby
Cause since the World Began

There's Been Something very Special
For You in God's Plan

That's Why You're Something
Special, You're the only one of your Kind

God Gave you a Body,
and a bright Healthy Mind

He had a special purpose
that he wanted you to find

that's why you're something special
you're the only one of your kind

Happy 11th birthday Rook!

I'm so thankful for you and the Godly man you are becoming.
You are funny, wearing mustaches, serious, playing the guitar and basketball,
You are smart making all A's and receiving the triple crown on all your tests,
you are a great friend, keeping close to some for 6 years already,
You are goal oriented and usually meet your goals,
you want to succeed at whatever you try
you make babies laugh
you are our one and only Eeyore
finding truth in all circumstances
I like your adventurous spirit wanting to serve on mission trips
I'm so glad chose you for our family
You are such a precious gift

The name of the Lord is a Strong Tower...

The Tower of London Castle

There were wire statues of the animals that used to live at the castle.  The animals were from all over the world, given to the king as presents.  There were lions, zebras, polar bears, baboons, and even an elephant.

Outside the Tower

The Yoeman, "Beef Eaters" that guard the tower.  There are 35 of them that live with their families, even grandchildren at the tower.  They prefer them to be 55 years old, they had to have served in the military at least 22 years.  They are also tour guides, and do the exchanging of the keys ceremony that has been the same for the last 700 years at 7 minutes before 10:00 pm.

A picture of the Yoeman's quarters, you see the uniform drying?

One of the Baboon's could smoke a pipe

The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are saved.  I'm so thankful that I serve the King of kings and Lord of Lords.  I also got to see the crown jewels and some of the armor.  They reminded me that my King is making a crown of jewels for me as I gladly serve Him, and I will be able to give it back to Him,  He also provides me with armor to withstand my enemy who seeks to destroy me like a lion.

My Fair Lady...

Friday was our free day.  Rae purchased tickets for us to tour the palace before we left, thanks Rae!  We were able to see Cate's dress, and a model of their cake, her shoes, earrings, and bouquet.  There was a commentary by the designer of the dress explaining the detail and craftsmanship.  It made me remember that Christ calls his followers his bride, one day we will wear white robes of righteousness in His presence that will outshine this amazing dress, pretty humbling, inspiring.
a subway advertisement scene on the way to the palace

Union flags, when on a ship they are referred to as Union Jacks, the flag is Ireland, Scotland, and English flags layered on top of one another, the flags line the road to the palace

Edward's symbol

Outside the palace

Richard's symbol, all the gates around the city have the royal symbol on them of who was in power at the time of the building of the gate and are not changed depending who is in power

Fancy a treat?  Candy counter at the gift shop in the palace

picture of a picture while waiting to enter, this is the grand staircase, Victoria had portraits made of all of her favorite family members to hang on all the walls

Picture of a picture...Victoria and her son Edward really liked glided design, there is a secret passage way in this room that leads to the queen's private quarters so she doesn't have to walk all through the castle to meet guests

The back of the palace, you can buy a sandwich and pay a pound to sit and eat it

While exiting, through the 40 acre garden, there are stations...a private little picnic peninsula built by Albert for Victoria in the little lake there, there is also a private honey station available only to the palace, a rose garden that is never been scene in public, one of the guides along the path told me that the queen's Corgi dogs can be quite unpleasant having bit guides many times...tee hee, call Cesar Milan...
